Francisca Fuentes-Vasquez

Fundraising

Francisca Fuentes-Vasquez is a first-generation Guatemalan American, who from a young age wanted to help others.

In high school, she participated in the Ready to Lead program from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, where she met with political leaders and learned about advocacy. This sparked her interest to serve her community. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s degree in Government and International Politics and a concentration in Comparative Politics.

During undergrad, Francisca was a Latino political intern for a Virginia Governor Campaign, interned for the former Vice Mayor of Alexandria, served in leadership roles for college Latino organizations, and was a Local Leader for Casa Chirilagua.

In addition, Francisca studied in Switzerland and learned about International Organizations, such as the United Nations. Francisca’s passion has always been focused on uplifting communities of color, especially at the local level. Now in going to the non-profit sector, she strives to make a bigger impact for the communities served at Kitchen of Purpose through fundraising to support our transformative programs.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring new food places and listening to music.
