Jon Coombs

Manager of Kitchen Operations


Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Jon enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 18 and served for 23 years as an Infantryman with multiple tours to Iraq and Afghanistan.


Prior to retirement, while stationed at Ft. Myer, VA, he attained his Associate of Arts degree from The Art Institute in Culinary Arts. Since retirement, Jon has worked at several large restaurant groups within the DMV area as an Executive Chef and General Manager.


His passion for cooking is rooted within Jamaican cuisine. He learned to appreciate the art and passion of cooking from his mother and grandmother. Jon has always been deep rooted in robust flavors and visually appealing plating.
