Board Member


Margaret Core brings 25+ non-profit management experience to the Kitchen of Purpose Board. She has been with several different associations, including the Optical Society of America, Consumer Technology  Association, Biotechnology Industry Organization, National Apartment Association, and currently, Vice President, Marketing with FMI -the Food Industry Association. Most of Margaret's career has been focused on non-dues revenue programs, including events, sponsorships, advertising, partnership programs, and marketing.  In her various roles at FMI, Margaret helped lead a 2020 Association rebrand and also developed a new program, Emerge Network, for emerging brands to grow more grocery shelf space, moreshelfspace.org.   


Recently, Margaret served on the Arlington Soccer Association Board of Directors and focused on shaping the Club infrastructure to support the growing club needs. She also is completing a term as a Board member focused on sharing a strategic plan for a community in New Hampshire, where Margaret and her husband, Lyndell, are recreational members. They reside in the Arlington Cherrydale neighborhood and have two sons in college. Lyndell is an Area Manager for Arlington County Parks. 

 

Margaret is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), earned an Undergraduate BBA Marketing degree from Baylor University and a Master's degree from George Washington University in Association Management. In 2021, Margaret earned a Digital Marketing Strategy Certification from Columbia Business School.
